Things That Make Me Happy

Hello everyone! 7 days of May has passed already and I’m like, what?! It feels like I was still in school yesterday and it’s gonna start again soon. (I don’t want to! ☹)

Anyway, I have decided to have a two-week blogging challenge wherein I blog everyday for two weeks except for Sunday (it’s my free day)! It’s not much like I did last summer wherein I really blogged everyday, but atleast I can make a progress out of my summer. So for the next two weeks, expect different types of post though I really want to emphasize on happiness– like this post. So without further ado, let’s get started!

Things That Make Me Happy 🌻

1. Blogging

Of course, one of the things that make me happy is blogging. I love writing– as I’ve said in this blog for many times already and this blog is a place for my thoughts and words. I also love the feeling that other people get to read my posts and somehow be inspired by it– best feeling ever. Aside from my writings, I also love reading and communicating with other bloggers. Reading your posts make me inspired, too! And even though some of you are half a world away, it feels like you are beside me cheering me up and giving advises with what I’m doing. Anyone else feel the same? It’s just great!!

2. Journalling

Writing my thoughts in a notebook makes me happy as well. It’s like I’m taking down memories into writings and aside from this blog which is my open journal, it’s still good to have a private journal wherein you alone can read it. And it’s really funny when you write something that’s bothering you now and when you read it a year later, you’ll just laugh at it.

I don’t really share my poetry in this blog because it’s all down in the journal. Poetry makes me happy as well so I’m really thankful to whoever invented journalling. πŸ™‚

3. Watching Movies

Anyone else here feels relaxed whenever they are watching a movie? That’s honestly how I feel! My mindset was always, “I am watching a movie today. I don’t have anything to do.” and I feel really relaxed. However, I still watch movies even though I have a lot to do because I don’t know– it really makes me happy. Well, except for horror movies! There’s no way horror movies are gonna make me happy. (Oops exclusion for The Conjuring 2. I really loved the Warrens here!)

4. The Aftermaths of Cleaning My Room

While on the process of cleaning my room, I would always get bad mood. I don’t really like cleaning but after I did it all, I feel really happy. Who wouldn’t feel happy if your own room is clean? It’s like you just came out of the bath feeling fresh and everything. And one more– it’s really nice to sleep if your room is clean!

5. Music

If you’re a long time follower of this blog, then you know how much I LOVE music! I even did a monthly playlist last year and that was the only blog series I’ve finished so I’m pretty much so happy with the playlist thingy. Anyway whoooo doesn’t love music?! Sometimes music can express the way you feel– and hmm I’m currently obsessed with all of The Greatest Showman’s songs!!!!

6. Being With Friends

They keep me company as always and I’m really happy when they are around. Apparently I now have 4 best friends, 2 girls and 2 boys. Whenever I’m with them I really feel so happy and it feels like as if we could do anything crazy! (Not the bad ones though.)

7. Reading The Bible

I had my daily readings before but now, I can’t really find the time to read the Bible when I have a lot of it! (Honestly speaking.) Even so, reading the Bible has always been my comfort, even by reading a single verse, it feels like I’m in my comfort zone trying to make me understand everything about life. I remember how happy I was when I finished Genesis (I was taking notes of the important things per chapter and maybe that’s why it took me so long) and I want to feel the same again for the next chapters, too!

8. Praise and Worship

Honestly, amongst all listed above, I’m the happiest whenever I’m praising Him. Whenever our youth gathers, we always have a worship session and it really really makes me happy that different kinds of youth gather to worship the Lord. But I know God is happier whenever we worship Him. It’s the best feeling ever. Yes you may cry at some sessions but you will only cry out of joy– because whenever we worship, the Holy Spirit is always present. It’s the happiest feeling!! ❀

And there it is, the list could honestly go on. So these are just some things that make me happy– others are my family- they will always be in my heart and in my mind. ❀

Thank you so much for reading, everyone! And let me know some things that make YOU happy! ❀ Happy Monday!

  5. You are such a grateful person Jirah, and it shows. I totally get the cleaning part of it. It’s nice to see a finished product, all shiny and clean. Praising God all day is a reward in itself. When I talk to and thank Him all day, no matter what is going on, it all turns out right, and I am happy. Oh, and for the reading your Bible, I’ve had times when I didn’t have time because of my schedule. When that happens, I’ll pick up my Bible say a little prayer, like LORD, show me what you want me to see, and learn. Open my Bible and read the first verse my eyes saw. Just that verse. It’s miraculous how the LORD will bless you with what you need in that moment. God, thank You for continuing to bless Jirah :):)
