Hello everyone and welcome to my blog! Not too long ago, I have made a post about a sneak peek at my unfinished bookshelf and now, I’m glad to say that I have finally finished decorating it. Some of you said that I should paint the bookshelf bright colors but I think the wooden color of it really suits the theme of my room. My bookshelf is not really big and fancy, so I’m hesitant to title this as “tour” but never mind! I’ll explain more of this later, so let’s get started!
My Small Bookshelf Tour
So here is the overall look of the bookshelf. It’s actually a cabinet that my mom bought so that I could make it as a storage and later on, I thought to just make it a bookshelf. I really love the overall look of this because it’s really clean and I can see the things that make me happy. Let me tour you first in this section before looking inside.
Let me show you this artwork that my best friend made for me. I’ve decided to put it in the middle because it looks really good there and it really suits the color of my room. I’m so thankful for this gift, though. The concept of yin and yang is really important to me.
Let’s start from the left side. Here you’ll see my accessory holder and under it, I have two jars. You can’t really see it but I use one of the jars to store coins and the other one has Bible verses inside. Then you’ll see the adventure awaits- it is actually a coin bank in which I have already opened it. Since the design is really cute, I decided to keep it. Then there’s the DIY camera which is a storage for cute pictures, which I got as a gift for my 18th birthday. Next you’ll see two snow globes that I got when I went to Singapore and Malaysia. Since then, I’ve decided that when I travel to other countries, I will buy snow globes for my collection.
Then you’ll see books. The first one from the left is actually my 2020 planner, though. There’s no actual reason on why I put these books here, but for sure, these are some of my favorite books and Is Shakespeare Dead?, Spiritual Writings, The Last Drop is on my to-be-read. Then you’ll see a cute treasure box which I think is really cute to put there.
Everyone, meet Panda! Yes, this is a dwarf snake plant that my mom got when she went shopping for a lot of plants. This plant is actually my first plant and when I saw a panda patch that looks good there, I decided to call the snake plant Panda as well. Then you’ll see a Rubik’s cube and a timer.
And hoorah! This is how my bookshelf looks like in the inside. I really love how organized it looks but it’s honestly so full. I think I can’t add more books to this so it’s a problem. But while I’m spending most of my time at home, I’m trying to read every book I have here because I still haven’t.
Here is a closer look! I’ll explain every part of it like what I did earlier. I hope you keep on reading!
First I’ve decided to put some stuff here. Nothing’s really important about this. These are just push pins and buttons and staples.
Next I have a history and philosophy section. I’ve put these here because it’s also in my to-be-read. I bought most of these in the Big Bad Wolf fair last January which I got for a really fair price. Next is the Penguin Little Black Classics I have, which is also for philosophy.
Next are my academic notebooks for my freshman year. I’ve decided to put a sticky flag so that it’d be easier to find it. I do love spiral notebooks but sometimes it really is a hassle.
Then for this part you’ll see a mini bag and I’ve put the wooden clips and hemp rope inside it. And sneak peak at Forky! It’s actually a bookmark that my brother in the community gave to me.
Then the next one, which you’ve probably seen in my unfinished bookshelf post where I’ve put the YA books I have. Do you notice how I always miss one book? For example, The Hunger Games Trilogy, I don’t have the first book and in The Selection Series, I don’t have The Elite. It’s a bummer!
Then the classics, except for the A Game of Thrones books. I just put it here because the size fits with the others.
Then again, the Filipino Wattpad books I bought when I was a kid. Then a box where I put letters and other stuff. I actually plan on getting rid of it now because it looks really old already.
Then another academic, philosophical and religious books. I also put my academic files in this section. When I look at this section, it feels like there’s a lot of knowledge waiting to unleash.
Another portion of books! I’ve decided to put the large books here and the hard bound ones. The last three notebooks, however, are my past journals. I also have a very good book in this section. Notice the Healing Wonders of Diet book…
It looks like this inside! It’s honestly so pretty and I got this as a gift again from my best friend. I know that he’ll be reading this post so, thank you so much for this. My heart is happy.
Then here’s a portion of boxes. The canister contains a lot of letters way back 2017 up to present. It’s very important to me.
Then the last one, where I’ve put wallets that I have not been using at the moment. It’s also kind of a storage part because behind these wallets are glue guns and pens that I don’t really use a lot.
Hooray! This is the end of the post and you have reached it. I really enjoyed sharing this because I’ve spent a lot of time decorating this and thinking of how to make it look better. Again, here’s how it looks as a whole:
Thank you so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed writing this. I am always so thankful for your views, likes and comments. Let’s chat in the comments below! Do you also have a bookshelf tour posted in your blog? Share the links and I’ll definitely check it out!
