Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! It’s not so long since I’ve last written an update post, and I really like making these kind of posts. I also enjoy reading them, it’s really like having a chit-chat with other bloggers and then you engage and talk in the comments section. It’s really fun.
For today’s post, I will update you on what’s currently happening in my life like what I do this quarantine and other… surprising stuff that I never thought I would do. So let’s start with the first one!
I enrolled in a Harvard edX online course called Christianity Through Its Scriptures
Last Tuesday night, my college classmate informed us that Harvard is offering free online classes. Since we’re on quarantine and we don’t really have a clue when will it end, I thought, why not? I was really reluctant at first because hey, it is Harvard… which is actually a really great deal for me but I was really nervous because I might not do well with the online course. I was really doubtful and it took me until Wednesday afternoon to finally decide. And yes, I enrolled. I’m currently taking the 4 week long course, Christianity Through Its Scriptures (as you’ve read in the title) which will help me grasp and gain more knowledge about how Christianity spread throughout the world, understand the Scriptures and learn other perspectives from my peers who are also taking the course.
I’ve started yesterday and it’s actually really cool. I really thought that never in my life I’d enroll to an online class of an Ivy League school. It fascinates me until now. I’m so glad I had the courage to enroll and I can’t wait to learn more about the course. And wait, you know what’s best in this? The course is free. If you want to have a certificate for your CV and your credentials, you just have to pay $49. I chose the audit course, which I didn’t pay… yet. My mom is convincing me to pay for the certificate because it’s actually a good thing. I still have to decide on it, though.
If you want, you can also enroll to the courses they are offering. You can visit https://online-learning.harvard.edu/catalog to see the courses and if any of it interests you and if it’s free, then grab the opportunity!
I am playing Roblox… and it’s quite addicting.
Lol, I super love this game! I remember the first time I’ve downloaded and played it, my mom and friends were like… “you’re playing a game for kids?” And I was like, “yep?” It’s SOOOO fun! I love the Fashion Famous game and the Parkour game.
Yesterday night, I told my friends to download the game and we played altogether– which made it more fun and addicting. Since we cannot see each other personally, then at least we can see each other in Roblox. Hahaha.
I’m quite nervous for my second semester grades.
I don’t really know if it’s a good thing or my second sem has totally been compromised but as of now… I am finished in my first year of college. Our university president declared that the second semester ends due to the whole COVID-19 and quarantine situations so my professors are already encoding and computing the grades that they have and before May 15, our grades will be posted in our school accounts.
I’m nervous because I’m not nervous about my grades? I don’t know, really. It’s not bothering me and I think I should be more nervous because it’s not bothering me. I’m not really grade conscious but gah, I want to pass all my subjects and not fail on any.
Oh god as I type this, I remember one of my subjects, Math. I am so freaking bad at Math but high hopes that I will pass the subject. *fingers crossed*
I’m watching Money Heist.
Season 4 of Money Heist was released last week and it gained SOOOO much noise in the internet. I don’t really know what’s the hype with the series so I finally decided to watch it. I’m currently on Season 2 and I hope to finish the series before the month ends. So far, I’m really enjoying it. Have you watched it? Do you like the series?
Some update on my April 2020 Goals: I’m working out!!!
And hooray for this! I’m finally exercising! Sometimes I’d skip a day, though, which I hate but can’t just do it. Lol. I’m so inconsistent at doing these kind of things. But really do, it feels so great to exercise especially now that I’m just at home and I don’t do anything that would make me sweat. Exercise all the way!
I have been consistent on my prayer time.
And this is actually good news for me. Since 2017, I have set 9PM or 9:30PM to be my prayer time. Now, I’m sticking with 9PM because I want to sleep at 10PM or 11PM. And when I pray, I read the daily Catholic readings and I write my reflections and prayer on a notebook. So far, I’ve been doing really good and not missing a day. I hope this continues throughout the whole month.
Especially now that many people are dying, being sick, suffering due to hunger and many are risking their lives to fight COVID, let’s pray for all their safety. Aside from staying at our homes and speaking up for those who cannot speak up, it is also best to pray for them. We all need a little bit of hope in this desperate times.
I guess that’s all for now! Thank you SO much for reading. I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it.
What have you been doing these past few days? I’d love to know!
Please stay at home and don’t go out unless very necessary. Practice social distancing if you do. Salute to all the front liners risking their own lives to help in this whole situation. Speak up to the government if they’re not doing their part. Wash your hands and avoid touching your face. Contact your families, relatives and friends who are far away from you, make sure they are safe and well. Pray deeper. Stay safe everyone!
