5 Ways To Improve Your Blog Post + How To Get Readers’ Attention?

Hello everyone! I am so close to reach 30,000 hits in this blog and I am just so grateful. Today, I want to share the things that I have learned based on my experience on how to make better blog posts and how to get your reader’s attention. Without further ado, let’s get started!

1. Make a catchy title.

Titles are what your readers see first— before they click on your post, they look at the title first. Make a catchy title, it depends on you on how you want to do it. You can make a deep title and when they read the post, that’s where they’ll get the idea or you can make literal titles but make sure it will catch their attention. There are some Pins on Pinterest that helps you make your own title and you can use it as a guide if you’re just starting blogging.

2. Use headings and other styles in writing.

Readers want it if your post is organized. You have to emphasize other words (like for this post, I am giving tips so all the tips are in Heading 2 and the explanation is on the default one). Using headings make better blog posts and aside from all the headings, you can also bold important words, italicize the important following detail, and underline whichever like dates, things to remember or what.

You can also use the paragraph alignment to emphasize other important thing in your blogpost.

There are a lot of creative ways to make your post even better, so just explore all the WordPress buttons and I’m pretty sure you’ll have fun!

3. Add photos.

One of the effective ways for me is to add photos because it makes the post fancy and not too boring to read! I have also liked choosing what pictures I will feature in any of my posts. If you don’t know any stock photo site, I recommend: Pexels (this is the one that I really use most of the time), Pixabay and Unsplash.

Though if you think your post is too serious and having pictures will make it informal, then it’s your choice! You know what you want to write, though!

4. Edit featured photo.

Honestly though, I think I still have to improve editing my featured photos. But yeap, having a good featured photo adds a lot of attraction to your post and it will draw your readers attention to click on the post and read.

You can base your featured photo to your blog layout or honestly, just any choice you want!

5. Make timely posts.

You can look out for trends and make a post about it or what everyone is talking about. You can also talk about an issue or something that people would want to read on or you can just start out something (your own idea) and you might even start a trend about it. Blog what your blog is all about! If it is about lifestyle, you can make routines, day in the life, happiness and how to be healthy. If beauty, post different get ready with mes or make up tutorials and some outfit posts! Honestly it can be anything as long as your heart shouts for it.

And that ends the post!! I swear I can give more tips about better writing because I’ve seen the blues of blogging and learned through my experiences. However, this is all I can give now!

Remember that these are just tips or guides (whatever I have seen effective) and it may work out different for you. Write what your heart wants to write because if you’re real passionate about it, people will love it too.

Just keep on writing! Thanks for reading and have a happy Saturday!! ā¤
