I am glad and so nervous to talk about this but hey, I am finally on my final year in senior high school! Just one more year and I am done with my high school life and I’m going to college— yay! I honestly can’t wait to see the things that’s been waiting for me soon but as I am writing this, I have realized that I should focus more on the present to prepare a good future for me. And so, I will present to you my 12 goals for my final year in senior high school!
12 Goals For The 12th Grade
1. Pass all my subjects.
This is honestly the first thing that I need to do and I am aiming to do in my whole grade 12 life. If possible, I would like not to have a grade lower than 85 because it’s also like failing… except that you didn’t actually fail. So, I would like to pass everything and not have a grade lower than 85.
2. Graduate with honors.
I don’t like to have a grade lower than 85 because it would take away the chance of a student to graduate with honors. I would really like to graduate with honors so I am doing my best to be excellent in every school work that I do.
3. Participate more in class.
My class started last Monday and I can say that I have been participating in class already. It was always my problem that I don’t usually recite because I’m more on the paperworks but now, I think I’m doing just fine in participating.
4. Read a lot.
Being in the Humanities and Social Sciences strand requires a lot of reading. Reading academic books has been one of my weaknesses because I always lose the motivation to continue reading and it bores me. I did good last grade 11 because I have seriously read a lot too but now, every subject is for us to read! I hope to improve my reading skills.
5. Pass all the exams.
I have failed so many times in exams last grade 11 and I don’t really want to fail any exams that we will have. I should atleast get half of the score.
6. Don’t cram.
I know that this is somehow impossible because I am a procrastinator but hey, it’s time to change a few things! Maybe it’s not like don’t cram but lessen the procrastination so that I can do things or the paperworks better. Cramming has been my thing eversince and I’ve gotten so used to it, I want to step out of it already.
7. Be responsible.
We had our class officers election earlier and I was fortunate to be the class treasurer for this school year. I have no idea what it’s like to be the class treasurer but I have to be responsible so that I won’t lose any class fund. And aside from that, I also want to be responsible in every thing that I do and say in class or outside the classroom.
8. Be patient.
We will have another research paper again this year. If we had a qualitative research paper last year, we’re going to have quantitative this year and I know that it will be a lot harder because it includes statistics and probability. I want to be patient in doing the paper and I also want to be patient if my groupmates do not contribute. I really hope that I will have responsible groupmates though!
9. Be excellent.
Excellence is one of our core values in school and I do really want to do my best in everything. This is the final year so I want it to be memorable and fun with excellence.
10. Save money.
You know how I am struggling with saving money and it’s like my goal every school year, so let’s see what will happen with this!
11. Meet new friends.
I would really like to achieve this one wherein I meet and make new friends to share memories with. The only friends that I got last year was my section and I want to go outside my section this year. I’d like to have new friends as well in other sections.
12. Have fun and enjoy.
This is the most important part— I want my final year to be fun and memorable. I have lots of subjects that includes application in real life and I want to enjoy the moments when I’m actually applying the lessons I have learned in real life. Happiness is a thing I want to achieve this year, and I want to be joyful.
Thank you so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed this post and let me know what goals do you have for your upcoming school year! Happy Wednesday!
